Kochi, 10th August, 2011: Kerala has, over the years, given birth to many a talent in the fields of literature, art and culture. To promote and encourage art and upcoming talented artistes of Kerala, Magma Fincorp Limited, one of India's leading retail asset finance companies is holding a two day Painters' Workshop in the city. The first such Painting Workshop outside Kolkata was arranged by Magma in Kochi in the last year.

The Magma Painters' Workshop, which began today, has 10 promising city artistes colouring the canvases with great enthusiasm. The event was graced by popular film actress Ms Sarayu Mohan. The Chief Guest at the workshop was illustrious painter Mr T Kaladharan, Secretary, Kerala Kalapeetom.

"Magma has always encouraged and nurtured talents in the field of art. We are holding Magma Painters' Workshop for the past six years in Kolkata and the participants have always come out with their creative best. We have also taken this activity on a national level during the last financial year and Kochi was the first place outside Kolkata where we hosted this workshop. This year we have commenced our Painters Workshop initiative in Bengaluru. During the course of the next few months, we would be having Painting Workshops in Chandigarh, Bhubaneswar & Pune, apart from Kolkata," said Mr Kaushik Sinha, Associate Vice President, Communications & Administration, Magma Fincorp Limited.

The upcoming talents of the city who are participating in this workshop are - Abraham Alex, Anoop S Kalarikal, Anoop Kumar VS, Soumya Thomas, Laasya TR, Sriju Radhakrishnan, Dileep KU, Sajo Joseph, Amal Francis E & Prasanth TS.
