Grandparents' Day out

Magma Fincorp conducts puja parikrama for residents of Santanashram - a home for senior citizens



Kolkata, 13th October, 2010: Magma Fincorp Limited, a leading asset finance company, celebrated Durga Puja with residents of Santanashram, a senior citizens' home located in Kasba by taking the senior citizens to a puja parikrama to various popular Durga Puja Pandals of South Kolkata on Shasthi, October 13, 2010.

The program titled Grand Parents' Day Out was initiated to extend love and respect to the elderly citizens who live in old age homes. A group of 14 senior citizens from Santanashram were enthusiastic from the morning and participated in the tour with great enthusiasm. The group was in the 70-85 years age group.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Kaushik Sinha, Associate VP-Corporate Communications, Magma Fincorp Limited said, "We organize Grand Parents' Day Out for the past 4 years in Kolkata during Durga Puja. We take senior residents for Pandal hopping. It has proved to be a truly emotional experience for all the participants as they share various anecdotes of their heydays. We will continue to invest in such initiatives in future."

The program was driven by active participation from employees of Magma Fincorp who shared the enthusiasm of pandal hopping with the senior citizens.
